Zoetis Apoquel 16 mg is an oral tablet containing oclacitinib, a selective Janus Kinase (JAK) inhibitor. It helps control pruritus (itching) associated with allergic skin conditions and supports management of atopic dermatitis in dogs. Apoquel is intended for dogs only and should be used under veterinary supervision. Key Features Active Ingredient: Oclacitinib Maleate Strength: 16 mg per tablet Helps control allergic itching Used for allergic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis Oral film-coated tablet For dogs 12 months and older Prescription veterinary medicine Pack Size: 10 tablets Dosage The labelled dose is 0.4–0.6 mg/kg orally, generally twice daily for up to 14 days, followed by once-daily maintenance therapy. The exact dose and duration should be decided by the veterinarian. Safety & Important Information Do not use in dogs under 12 months of age or dogs with serious infections. May increase susceptibility to infections and may worsen existing parasitic skin infections or certain pre-existing cancers. Not recommended for breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs.
